No question of dropping Construction of Ram Mandir – Pejawar Swamiji

Udupi: “There is no question of dropping the construction of Ram Mandir”, said Pejawar Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji. The Supreme Court of India has permitted the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, it has been accepted by the people and the saints. The dispute of the Ram Mandir has ended with the court order, henceforth there is no question of dropping the construction of Ram Mandir. The Swamiji was speaking to the media persons in Sri Krishna Math here on July 8.

“The violence in Kashmir has terribly increased, is it possible to let Kashmir in the hands of Pakistan”, questioned Swamiji.

When said that the protest called by the Solidarity Youth Movement had urged Pejawar Swamiji to drop the construction of the Ram Mandir and mentioned that the Swamiji has initiated steps to promote peace in the society, he should drop the construction of the Ram Mandir.

Swamiji said that there is no sense in saying that the construction of the Ram Mandir will lead to violence. There are differences in the construction of Ram Mandir. Differences cannot be solved through violence. We should live in brotherhood, I have not incited violence. There is no sense in saying that the Iftar party should not be organized. Some intellectuals cannot understand my policy, he added.

“I have not said that there is a need for the emergence of a Hindu nation, but I have given a call to frame a law which treats the minorities and the majority equally. People who have migrated from Pakistan and Bangladesh should not be given any right”, said Swamiji.

Reacting on the Kalladka violence Swamiji said, “The government should function effectively without any discrimination , action should be initiated without considering any party or religion. Violence in the coastal region has pained me. Political leaders don’t trust each other, they don’t have the will to come together. There is a need to spread peace”, he added.
