No Water Supply to City Today Due to MCC Water Pipe Repair in Adyar
Mangaluru : Seems like when it comes to water supply by Mangaluru City Corporation to its residents, the problems will never end. Few weeks/days ago Mangaluru was reeling under scarcity of water, and water rationing was in force in order to supply water to the citizens. Now it is learnt that Drinking water supply in the entire city will be disrupted for the third day in a row today ( July 10) as Mangaluru City Corporation is yet to plug leak in one of the two main supply lines from the Thumbe vented dam to the city, near Adyar.

Since Monday the City had no supply of water from MCC, since it was shut when Water supply officials of the corporation had noticed a leak in one of the two 18 MGD (million gallons per day) capacity pipeline on Monday near Adyar, after there was a drop in the water being received in the city on Sunday night.
After removing the soil near the damaged portion of the pipeline with an earthmover, repair works were taken up. An official said that the repair works are likely to be completed by Wednesday evening.
