Los Angeles, May 26 (IANS) Musician Noel Gallagher gets mistaken for Liam Gallagher a lot, and he is “sick” of it.

The 47-year-old says that he hates it when strangers think he’s Liam’s younger brother, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

When asked during his US tour if he gets tired of his name being pronounced Noel by Americans, he replied: “Not as sick as I get of people calling me Liam. Particularly on the tube. People find it amazing that I get public transport in London, I get on the underground.

“I get the guy down the end of the carriage who is looking above the throng of people and you’re like, ‘ohh no, he’s going to do it’. And he’ll just go… ‘LIAM! Yes man! Liam!’ And it’s just like, f*****g hell.”

Oasis split in 2009 when Noel quit the band, which originally formed in Manchester in 1991, following an explosive row with Liam, 42, backstage at a show in Paris. But the “Don’t look back in anger” hitmakers are planning a reunion without Noel.

The original lineup featuring Liam, guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, bassist Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and drummer Tony McCarroll are now planning on getting back together.
