Los Angeles, March 7 (IANS) Musician Noel Gallagher is strict and reserved when it comes to talking to his daughter about boys.
The former Oasis rocker’s eldest child Anaïs, 16, told The Sun on Sunday newspaper that her father always avoids any conversations about “the birds and the bees”, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
She said: “My dad is very strict when it comes to boys … My dad has never given me the birds and the bees chat and doesn’t talk to me about boys. He’s always, ‘I don’t want to talk about it’.
“I remember when me and my stepmum would be talking about boys and he would be like, ‘Stop’. He just doesn’t want to know. I have always been one of those girls who has boys over at my house but we are just friends.
“We made an agreement that they should stay out of my friendships and relationships as I get embarrassed, just like any other 16-year-old. My dad can stay supportive of my schoolwork instead.”
Anaïs said her father would have preferred her to do a job outside showbiz, but she insists it was “inevitable” that she would be following in his footsteps.
“My dad would have preferred me not to do anything in the spotlight and have a normal job. My parents are supportive but they have definitely got different ways of tackling parenting.
“I always had an interest in being in TV or photography so it was inevitable. It’s not their first choice for me but my dad definitely wouldn’t want me to go into music. If you have ever heard me sing or play an instrument you would appreciate that.”
