North Police Arrest Youth for Spreading Communal Hatred

Mangaluru: The Mangalore North police have arrested a youth for spreading Communal hatred through social media on December 30.

The arrested has been identified as Moideen Hameez from Pandeshwar.

After the implementation of NRC and CAA, there were protests against the bills. In Mangaluru after the December 19, incident people started to use social media to vent their anger.

The cyber police have kept an eagle eye on those who post inflammatory posts or spread Communal hatred in the society through social media.

The police have warned trouble mongers of strict action if they post any inflammatory posts on social media which may lead to violence.

On December 29, the cyber police issued notices to 6 people including an admin of a Facebook page.

On December 30, the North police arrested Moideen Hameez under crime number 142/19.
