Nostalgia
In the land of my forefathers alone I stand
With memories flashing by
Of days n years I once lived
In a land that once bore me.
A wave within threatens to rise
And open flood gates that stand so dry
For want of reason to cry.
But home is where I stand rite now
And here is where I must be
Fore ’tis but a passing phase
One long chosen for me.
In all my years I’ve never known
A yearning such as this
For family lost n friends once known
And a land I may never see.
