Why not Take Revenge for Deepaks’ murder – Jagadish Shenava
Mangaluru: “Basheer’s murder was the revenge for Deepak Rao’s murder. We are not worried about Basheer’s murder”, said the District president of VHP Jagadish Shenava during a book release programme here on January 28.
During the release of “Hadedavvana Shapa” book, Jagadish Shenava said, “On January 3, Deepak was murdered in Katipalla and in revenge, Basheer was assaulted, he later succumbed to injuries. But the media has highlighted that an innocent person was murdered. But before Basheer’s murder innocent Deepak Rao was brutally murdered.”
Jagadish Shenava further said, “If Sharath Madival was murdered as a revenge for Ashraf’s murder why then Basheer cannot be assaulted for innocent Deepak’s murder?”
Jagadish Shenava also said, “Deepak was also innocent. Being the president of the VHP I don’t feel bad about the murder of Basheer. Prashant Poojary, Sharat Madival and Kuttappa were also innocent. Why was Sharat murdered in revenge for Ashraf’s murder? Let what I have said appear in the media or let the police file a case against me, I am ready to face it. We all cannot take revenge, but one section of people are ready to take revenge for such murders and I will support them”.
The Coastal district is slowly recovering from communal violence and at this point the VHP leader delivering an inciting speech will again encourage violence in the district.
