Notorious Drug Peddler Arrested After Shootout at Sarjapur
Bengaluru: A notorious drug peddler who was wanted in 8 NDPS cases was shot at, by the police when he attacked a PSI at Bidaraguppe Sarjapur Police station limits here on September 15.
The Ganja Peddler is identified as Ayub Khan alias Ismail Khan from Adigarakallahalli village under Sarjapura PS limits.
According to the police, on September 15, PSI of Sarjapur, Harish along with his team had gone to arrest Ayub Khan who was wanted in 8 NDPS cases. Ayub Khan attacked PSI Harish and PI Sateesh with a knife and tried to escape. In retaliation and self-defence, CPI Sateesh opened fire at Ayub injuring him in the leg. Injured Ayub was later shifted to the Anekal Government Hospital.
PSI Harish Reddy was also injured in the incident and admitted to the hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered in the Bidaraguppe Sarjapur Police station under section Cr no 97/2019 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act, Cr no 208/2019 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act, Cr no 07/2020 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act, Cr no 55/2020 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act, Cr no 114/2020 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act, Cr no 127/2020 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act, Cr no 152/2020 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act and Attibele ps cr no 258/20 NDPS Act.
