NSUI Udupi District Celebrates World Environment Day
Udupi: The Udupi District National Students Union of India (NSUI) celebrated the World Environment Day by planting fruit and medicinal saplings at the Snehalaya Students Home here on June 5.
Addressing the gathering Udupi District NSUI president Christan Almeida said that, these days the environment day is just meant for photos and publicity. We have planted fruit and medicinal saplings which will be useful for the boarding students and have made sure that these plants will be taken good care by the Snehalaya staff.
He asked students to plant saplings in their homes, educational institutions and public places to make the environment green. He also urged the students to maintain the campus plastic free and create a pollution free environment to improve the quality of life.
