In his Presidential address, the Director, Rev Fr Richard Coelho addressed the nurses as angels from heaven and the inaugural event ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs Malini Noronha, Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Father Muller Medical College Hospital.

Taking into consideration the time factor, the Nursing Service Department organised various literary and art activities like rangoli, collage, wealth out of waste, food without fire, thematic group fancy dress on the theme Nurses at their best and hair dressing. The quiz competition helped the nurses brush their minds on patient safety and hospital infection control measures. It was a tough competition. Lucky games were conducted. These events were organised for the nurses and hospital assistants from 20th April to 6th May 2017 prior to the official Inaugural celebrations. The staff nurses were divided into five teams namely, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Diamond, and Bronze, to facilitate active participations from all quarters. There was an active participation in all activities. A Panel Discussion on the theme of the year was organised on 3rd and 4th of May 2017. It was informative and well appreciated by the participants.
