NYK Mangaluru Conducts Sapling Plantation Drive on World Environment Day 2019
Mangaluru: The Nehru Yuva Kendra Mangaluru (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India) conducted a Sapling Plantation Drive in association with Prajwal Yuvaka Mandal (R) at the Kudmul Ranga Rao Memorial in Babugudda, Mangaluru on the occasion of World Environment Day 2019. In the program, Nehru Yuva Kendra Mangaluru District Youth Coordinator Mr. Raghuveer Souterpete conveyed a message on how we can reduce carbon emissions & discussed innovative ideas by which we can lead a sustainable lifestyle by using minimum energy. Saplings were distributed to the attendees as well.
Jeeth Milan Roach (an environmentalist from the city) inaugurated the event. Youth Volunteers and the general public participated in the event.
In this program, Mr. Mahesh (President of Prajwal Yuvaka Mandal(R)) vowed to plant 1,000 saplings.
