Mangaluru: A man and a woman committed suicide on the railway tracks at Adyar here on April 13.
The deceased have been identified as Claud (35) and Jayanti (30).
According to sources, Claud and Jayanti were in love but the family members of Jayanti were not ready to accept their relationship as both belonged to two different faith.
On April 11, claud and Jayanti went missing and Jayanti’s family members filed a missing person complaint. On April 13, both Claud and Jayanti were found dead on the railway track at Adyar.
The Mangaluru Rural police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the government Wenlock Hospital for post mortem.
A case has been registered in the Mangaluru Railway police station.
