Oh Shit? Crow Poops on CM’s White Dhoti during a Ceremony

Mangaluru: Seems like Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has no luck with the crows, because it looks like the crows keep haunting him. Crows seem to just love the Chief Minister. Or at least his clothes whether he is in Karnataka or Kerala, because nearly seven months after a crow sat on the Chief Minister’s Toyota Fortuner SUV forcing him to change the car after it was considered inauspicious by many, another crow arrived to haunt Siddaramaiah, this time outside the state- Kerala. A crow that was fluttering over Siddaramaiah and Kerala chief minister Pinarayi during the function to unveil the memorial of Rastrakavi Govinda Pai in Manjeshwar- Kasaragod district of Kerala on Thursday, 19 January 2017, pooped on CM’s pure white dhoti while he was sitting on the open air dais.

Sources reveal that the incident occurred when Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was addressing the gathering. Siddaramaiah, the former Chief Minister M. Veerappa Moily and other delegates were seated on the open stage beneath a tree. Just before Kerala CM Vijayan ended his speech, our CM Siddu noticed the crow’s dropping on his white dhoti. Even as CM tried to point out to the crow sitting on the tree branch and shoo it away, the crow pooped once again on his dhoti.

This created a flutter on the stage that forced Mangaluru North MLA Moideen Bava, who was sitting behind Siddaramaiah, to get into action quickly, who grabbed a tissue paper and handed it to the former chairman of Mangaluru Urban Development Authority K. Tejomaya, who removed the dropping from the Chief Minister’s dhoti, with assistance from CM’s security personnel. It is learnt that this incident, however, did not affect Vijayan’s speech. After the Kerala Chief Minister left the venue to catch a train, Siddaramaiah started his speech.

Seemed like the crow was nice to former Union minister M Veerappa Moily, (also chairman of the Rashtrakavi Govinda Pai Memorial Trust) and many other dignitaries, including the two chief ministers, who were seated on the open air stage. This is an lesson to learn, not to have a open air stage right beneath a tree where crows and other birds nestle.
