One Arrested for Cattle Trafficking, cow seized
Udupi: The Shirva police on Saturday, September 10 arrested a person in connection with cattle trafficking at Nellikatte Moodubelle here.
The arrested has been identified as Akbar (36) a resident of Dendoorkatte Manipura.
Acting on a tip-off the Shirva PSI Johnson D’Souza and his team stopped a Goods Tempo that was carrying a cow. The Police team immediately seized the Tempo and arrested Akbar, another person Kaku who was in the Tempo escaped from the scene.
A case has been registered in the Shirva Police Station.
The description of people involved, the escape of one guy confirming the illegal nature of transaction and the sad state of cow in a very stressful situation defecating all over – None of these are surprising.
