One arrested in Puttur Shootout Case
Puttur: In a swift action the Puttur Town Police have arrested a person in connection with the shootout in Kabaka on November 27.
According to sources on November 26, at around 6:30 pm, miscreants fired at Abdul Khader. In the shoot out, Abdul Khader was injured on the right side of his chest.
After the incident, the assailants had fled from the spot by car. While they were on the run during the early hours of November 27 at 1:00 am on the Bengaluru – Mangaluru National Highway their car had a flat tyre. When the accused were fixing the tyre, the police reached the spot.
Noticing the police, the assailants fled to the nearby forest but the police succeeded in arresting one of the accused.
The victim Abdul Khader is admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru. Under the leadership of Puttur DySP, a special team was formed to nab the culprits and within a few hours of the crime, the police succeeded in arresting one of the accused.
