One Dies, 8 Injured As Car Rams Into Stationary Bus At Udyavar
Update: As per the recent update, seriously injured passenger in the Innova car has breathed his last in the hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Marshid (20) a resident of Kasargod. The condition of the Driver, Shafiq (21) is said to be critical. The other 6 passengers who sustained minor injuries are Irshad (13), Hafiz (20), Amzad (21), Abdul Shafiq (20), Abubakar Pawaz (19) and Naushad (20).
The car was carrying 8 passengers including the driver. All the 8 who had gone on a tour to Goa were returning to Kasargod.
Passenger Injured as car rams into stationary bus at Udyavar
Udupi: An Innova car rammed into a stationary bus near Udyavar petrol bunk here on Monday, September 4 afternoon. A passenger in the car sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
A car bearing Maharashtra registration which was on its way to Kasargod rammed into a bus which had stopped in front of the Petrol Bunk near Udyavar bus stand. The car was carrying 5 passengers including the driver.
The passenger in the front seat sustained severe injuries. The car was stuck beneath the bus. The injured passenger was carefully brought out and rushed to the hospital. The identity of the injured person is not yet known. Four other passengers were escaped with minor injuries. It is said that reckless driving by the Innova car driver led to the accident.
Traffic on the National Highway was disrupted for some time. Kaup Police arrived to the spot and cleared the traffic.
A case has been registered in the Kaup police station.
