One Killed on Spot and 9 other Students of MIT Injured in Tragic Road Mishap at Mukka
Mangaluru: In a tragic road accident one student died on the spot and 9 others were injured after the driver of a Scorpio lost control over the vehicle on the Mangaluru – Udupi Highway at Mukka here on September 7.
The deceased has been identified as Gloria, a student of MIT.
According to primary reports, the Scorpio car rented by Zoom Cars was carrying 10 students from MIT Architecture School of Manipal. At Chelyar Cross near Mukka, the driver of the vehicle lost control resulting in the vehicle jumping over the median and crashing head-on into an oncoming lorry killing Gloria on the spot.
In the incident, 9 other students were severely injured and rushed to the Srinivas Hospital. The road was then cleared by the police for the free flow of traffic.
