One more SSLC Student Tests Positive for Coronavirus in Kundapur
Kundpaur: One more SSLC student in Kundapur, Udupi district has tested positive for the coronavirus on June 30.
According to sources, an SSLC student who had written three examinations has tested positive for the coronavirus. The health department had collected her throat swab on June 29, after she was showing COVID symptoms. Her relative had travelled from Maharastra, returned home after completing the institutional quarantine. On Tuesday, her report confirmed that she was positive for the coronavirus. The girl will not attend the remaining exams. She will be allowed to write the remaining four papers in the supplementary examination.
The education department has sanitized the examination centre, and the teachers have been advised not to use that particular room for the exams.
On June 28, an SSLC girl from Kaup had tested positive for the coronavirus. With this, the district has registered two coronavirus positive cases among the SSLC students appearing for the examinations.
