Only Minority Minister to Complete 5 years – U T Khader
Mangaluru: “I have completed 5 years as a minister and I am the only one from the minority community to complete 5 years of tenure as minister. During my tenure as the Health minister for 3 years and Food minister for two years, I have worked with integrity. I hope the results on May 15 will be in my favour. We are also sure of winning in all the 8 constituencies. While I contest for the elections, I do not bother on who my opponent is. My supporters and party workers have worked hard in the Ullal constituency. Regarding the selection for the CM, it is left to the High command and the decision of the high command is considered final”, said U T Khader in a press meet held at the Eden Club here on May 14.
Addressing the mediapersons Khader said, “The election commission should improve the polling process. They should see that the voters slips reach the address of every voter. I have noticed that the booth level officers are unable to find the residence of the voters since the house number is not mentioned on the voter slip. Hope the election commission will print the house numbers and other details on the voters slips.”
U T Khader further said, “On the polling day, many of the voters have cast their votes without any ID proof which facilitates illegal voting. It is always better to check the ID proof of the voter to verify his/her identity. At the same time, I would like to appreciate the smooth voting process held without any hindrance or untoward incidents in the district. I would also like to thank the BLOs, police department and district administration for handling the polling process smoothly.”
Congress leaders Eshwar Ullal, Suresh Bhatnagar, Prashanth, Mohammed Monu and Imithiyaz were also present.
Khader bhai, you may win. But BJP will form the government. Wait for few more hours. Results will be out.
