Our Family is committed to Congress Party, No question of anyone joining BJP – Minister Khader

Mangaluru: “My brother Iftikhar will not join any other party. Our entire family members are committed to the Congress party. We will not spoil the name earned by our parents since we respect them. If our family is known to everyone it is because of the Congress party”, said minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader in a press meet held at the Circuit House here on April 24.

Addressing the mediapersons Khader said, “On behalf of our family members, I want to clarify that we are ready to stay away from politics but will not do anything against the wishes of our parents. All our family members are committed to the Congress party. It is our duty to retain the name gained by our father through the Congress party.”

When asked about the continuous attacks on the minorities after the Congress party came to power, Khader said, “The Congress is a secular party, if any innocent is harmed the government will take action. The Congress party is working for the welfare of the minorities, Dalits and the backward class. People should not be confused because of some issues. The Quraishi case has been handed over to the COD, they are investigating it, let their report come. We will take action against those who are at fault. We want unity, peace, harmony and brotherhood in the society.”

When asked about Ashraf who is spreading negative rumours about the party, Khader said, “People should not support any anti-social elements. The District Congress Committee will decide if anyone is involved in anti-party activities. When someone is praising us we should not feel happy or if anyone criticizes us we should not feel sad. We have to control ourselves, Janardhan Poojary is a senior congress leader and we should not compare him with Ashraf.”

“In the Quraishi case, we need to wait for the report. In Ullal, a 55-year-old man was assaulted by the police. They came to me and informed about the assault. During the inquiry, we realized that the person is not involved in any crime. The police department took three days to investigate the case and suspended the police involved in the assault,” clarified Khader.

Educated and highly qualified Indians have gone to various countries and with their work and enterprise done the country proud. They are intelligent, hard working, most of them are honest and law abiding. Sadly, the netas and Indian National Congress, set up or established by an upbright British I.C.S. officer is the most corrupt right from top to bottom. This party has become a personal fiefdom of the Gandhi family and though it is in a bad shape, the family wants to control it, rather than they relinquishing their grip and having democratic elections to have the right people for… Read more »

Nelson Lewis full time hobby is Congress bashing.

“When I see the likes of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Laloo Prasad, Mayawati, Karunanidthi and others, ”

If is preferable for IAS AND IPS officers to work under BJP’s communal dispensation in NL’s ideal world. It is in vogue to parrot the RSS’ anti OBC and anti dravidian arguments. There is no denunciation of the corruption of Yedyy and other BJP politicians in Nelson’s rants against Congress.

Mr. Roy, You appear to be an amateur and I have taken your comments with a pinch of salt. Congress had an uninterrupted rule from 2004 to 2014 and could have ruled even after that, if they had been concerned about people, nipped corruption in the bud and done something for the people. I am not a sympathizer of any political party and consider all politicians to be corrupt. Dr. Manmohan Singh used to be in utter state of slumber and kindly read, “Dr. Manmohan Singh: An Accidental Prime Minister,” by Sanjay Barru. Now, you will also accuse him, a… Read more »
