Over 50 Persons Questioned in Fr Mahesh Suicide case, Mobile Data not Deleted
Udupi: As per reliable sources the investigation officer and CPI Kaup Mahesh Prash has questioned over 50 persons in connection with the Suicide case of Don Bosco English Medium principal Fr Mahes D’Souza.
According to the investigation officer Mahesh Prasad the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reports are still awaited in the death of Fr Mahesh D’Souza. The report may come within one or two weeks. Many persons including the family memebrs of Fr Mahesh D’Souza, priests and others have been questioned in this case. Two phones of Fr Mahesh have also been sent for forensic tests to Bengaluru.
Commenting over the various media reports about the death of Fr Mahesh, the officer said that, we are investigating the case and meanwhile monitoring the spread of some false media reports also. Some tabloid media is publishing baseless news about the death of Fr Mahesh D’Souza. Certain media has published that the mobile data of Fr Mahesh is deleted and it is far from the truth. Fr Mahesh was using an Apple mobile phone and no one can delete the data easily from that phone. If any media or persons spread false rumors in this case, we will take action agaisnt them, he said.
The Fr Mahesh D’Souza assistant priest, who was also the principal of Shirva Don Bosco CBSE School, was found dead in the principal’s chamber at the school in Shirva on the night of October 11, 2019.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Shirva police station.
There were protests in Shirva on November 2, 3 and 5.
After continues protests district SP Nisha James appointed Kaup Circle Inspector Mahesh Prasad as the Investigating Officer.
