Padi-Valored to Celebrate Silver Jubilee, Child Rights Cultural Festival and Release of Souvenir on 1 Sept at Don Bosco Hall, Balmatta Road-Mangaluru

Mangaluru: PADI is a Non-Government Organisation, which is working since 25 years through VALORED Project in the primary education and Child Rights. To provide value oriented education and life-related qualitative education, parents and with community organizations it has organized various consultation and training. In order to protect the rights of the children awareness programmes, workshops, advocacy with local and state level departments has been organizing regularly. Along with that survey, research, like minded meet-up, education conventions as well as action research to bring rules and regulations has helped in the children field. As a result local societies have identified state level organizations.

Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Renni D’souza- Executive Director of PADI, Mangaluru said, “In order to provide a quality education, to free from sexual harassment as well to recognize the special children needs and to construct a platform of equal opportunity has been always a big challenge. Therefore unique ideas, planning, relevant platform and systems to work are required immediately. Local administration, Government, different departments, local communities, various organizations and parents has to join hands to bring diverse action research programmes for the best results.

“Hence, we have planned to implement the activities for children to bring quality and value-based education and execute programmes, like: Information sharing through consultation/Workshops programmes for parents, SDMC, Grama Panchayath members, local community organization members; Teacher training and inventive -virtuous consultations to Teacher Educator; Providing basic needs to the Marginalized, Children in conflict with Law, sexually Harassed, Special needs children; A Facility of emergency transportation/Vehicle is required for the Child Helpline which is working 24 hours for the children who are in difficult situation; Release of a souvenir to make known to all concerned about the programmes and Projects undertaken from the beginning, success and challenges of the Organisation; and Educational conventions and Child Rights Rangostava 2018” added D’souza.

Renni D’souza further said, “Also we have major long-term plans i.e-to have a Centre for Training and Research of Child Protection and Quality Education.; “SUPPORT A CHILD”-Many families and children have been identified who are really in feeble condition who requires personal, psychological, financial and medical support. To begin with, we have organized CHILD RIGHTS CULTURAL FESTIVAL – 2018” on 1st September 2018 at Don Bosco Hall. On the same day we are releasing a Souvenir ‘ BOLLI’ of 25 years memories. This event has to turn out to be festive of all. Through this event we have to spread widely the importance of Quality and Value Based education in Primary schools, converse about various reddressal mechanisms. The fulfillment of the dreams of organization such that children can be safe and free from unnecessary problems and the success of such an attempt is possible, only by the participation of civil society”.
