Padua Ranga Adhyayana Kendra holds ‘Avnkaar Mestri’
“Drama is the specific mode of fiction, represented in performance”
Mangaluru: ASTITVA (REGD) with the help of Padua Ranga Adhyayana Kendra staged Konkani drama “Avnkaar Mestri” on 30th September and 2nd October at the Padua college auditorium.
The play was filled with humour as well as a lesson for the audience. The show began with the discussion of the love story between Avil and Alice following the interference of Alice’s family and her uncle, the protagonist. The play tries to highlight the idea of an individual against the stereotype of the society where the family background is far more important than that of a single being.
The script by Amar Chafra uplifts the importance of the language Konkani. He has very beautifully played with the words in this play. All the actors played their roles perfectly which led to the success of the show.
This production is produced by ASTITVA (REGD) with the help of Padua Ranga Adhyayana Kendra. This was Astitva’s second production of the year. Recently they have produced P. Lankesh’s “T. Prasanna Grahasthashrama” in Konkani as “Home Sweet Home”. Astitva is ready to perform these two plays in and around the city.
On October 2nd Jaison J Sequeira’s first original Hindi song “MERA DESH” was released on YouTube. Motivational speaker, TV Anchor, Alwyn Danthy and Play Director Denis Monteiro released the song on online platforms.
