Rio de Janerio, April 29 (IANS) Brazil’s football federation (CBF) has invited the country’s former national coaches to form a panel designed to assist incumbent Selecao boss Dunga.

The initiative follows a meeting of domestic club coaches, Dunga and CBF officials at the federation’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Xinhua reported.

Among those set to be included in the panel are Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari and current Flamengo manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo, whose career has included spells in charge of Brazil and Real Madrid.

“The idea is to make the most of their experience and interact for the benefit of Brazilian football,” Dunga said in an interview posted on the CBF’s website.

“We have been world champions five times but we have to look at new ideas, new technology and different ways of working. It’s great that people like Felipao (Scolari) have had the humility to come here to contribute for the collective good of Brazilian football.”
