Party will take Disciplinary Action if Halady Srinivas Shetty Joining BJP Opposed – BSY

Udupi: “The party would initiate disciplinary action against those who oppose Halady Srinivas Shetty Independent MLA of Kundapur joining the Bharatiya Janata Party”, said BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa.

He was speaking at a press meet held at Hotel Valley view Manipal on Monday, November 13. Addressing the mediapersons Yeddyurappa said that Srinivas Shetty was a strong politician in Kundapur region. During our government, because of some misunderstanding he had left the BJP and contested as an Independent candidate in Kundapur. After he got elected as the MLA he has supported the BJP in local elections. He did not join the BJP so far because of technical reasons but has supported the party since the last Lok Sabha elections. He will join our party by December end.

Yeddyurappa further said, “Halady has never asked for any position and has worked hard for his constituency. There is no any serious opposition for him to join the BJP. The party will initiate disciplinary action against those who will oppose him joining the party. If there is any misunderstanding at the local level they can approach us and we will sort out the differences”.

Yeddyurappa also said, “The people in the State are tired of the Congress rule for the last four-and-half years. Siddaramaiah’s governance as “Tughlaq darbar.” Let Siddaramaiah release a white paper on the financial status of the state soon. Crores of rupees have been swindled in the guise of announcing schemes aimed at a particular community. The State has distributed poor quality uniforms to school children in Chamarajnagar district. Many school children were returning their uniforms”.

Though more than 30 complaints have been filed against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), the government has not investigated them nor has it filed First Information Report (FIR). ACB has been converted into an agency to provide “clean chit” to all those accused and are in the government. The government should hand over the investigation of all such scams to the CBI or a retired judge of the High Court of Karnataka, he said.

MP Shobha Karandlaje, former MLA’s Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon, BJP district president Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, ZP President Dinakar Babu, BJP leaders Uday Kumar Shetty, Shyamala Kunder, Shreesha Nayak were present in the press meet.
