Mumbai, Nov 20 (IANS) After dwelling on morals and traditions in Indian families, the second season of “Parvarrish – Season 2”, starting November 23, will narrate a story of varied parenting styles. It will be realistic yet contemporary manner, said the show’s producer.

“Parvarrish – Season 2″ features actors Sangeeta Ghosh, Gautami Kapoor, Sandeep Baswana, Vinay Jain, Deepak Qazir, Diana and Anuj.

“After the overwhelming response to the first season of ‘Parvarrish’, it was but a natural extension (to come up with a second season). The unique bond between parents and children is something which people across age groups can relate to and is an unending point of interest. We are sure it will be an instant hit with the viewers once again,” Deeya Singh of DJ’s Creative Unit, said here.

At the Sony Entertainment Television’s show’s launch here, the actors shared tidbits on their characters.

Sangeeta, who essays a pushy mother Surinder Khurana, shared that her character believes that children should be granted the freedom to grow their own way.

“She is a practical, family woman… Not the typical mother who tries to control the children. She believes that the children should fly and go ahead in life. At the same time, there is a bonding she shares with her friend Simran, played by Gautami,” Sangeeta told IANS.

Gautami, known for her roles in shows like “Ghar Ek Mandir” and “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”, will be seen in “Parvarrish – Season 2” as an overprotective mother named Simran Gupta. She said that her role is like any other mother, whose children are teenagers.

“I play the role of a mother, who’s little scared and worried for her daughter. An overprotective mother… especially after you hand over a mobile phone to your daughter who is a teenager, because you don’t want your child to get into sites not meant for them or to chat with boys… All those natural things. I am just an protective mother here,” Gautami said.
