Patriotic Spirit marks Independence Day Celebrations in Udupi District

Udupi: The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated in patriotic spirit with pomp at the Beednagudde Mahatma Gandhi Ground, here on Wednesday, August 15.
State Women and Child Development Minister and also the Udupi district minister in-charge Dr Jayamala hoisted the national flag. She received the guard of honour from the district police force, NCC, Scouts and Guides.
Top scorers of the district in 2017-18 SSLC and PUC exams were honoured on the occasion.
Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Deputy commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis, Zilla Panchayat president Dinakar Babu, Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi, Nalini Pradeep president TP and others were present.
