Pejawar Math website hacked by Pak cyber professionals

Udupi: The Pejawar Math Udupi was the latest victim of the ‘cyber war’ supposedly being waged by Pakistani hackers on Indian websites in response to the surgical strikes in Pakistan by the Indian Army earlier this month.

According to the Math sources, the Math administration website was found to be hacked two days ago. The hackers left a message on the home page which claimed to be the handiwork of a group calling itself ‘Hacked by Pak cyber professionals.

As a precautionary measure, the administration informed the Udupi Town police station. The police forwarded the complaint to the cyber crime section and the investigation is on.

The Math’s website maintenance professionals have restored the website to normal. Devotees and visitors can visit the website for latest religious updates.

Very suspicious! This is not a major website and I seriously doubt if our enemy even knows about udupi. However there are plenty of troublemakers on our own side. Police should look into it.
