Pejawar Swamiji condemns Attack on DC
Udupi: Pejawar Swamiji Sri Vishwesha Teertha has condemned the attack on the deputy commissioner and assistant commissioner during their raid on Kandlur sand mining areas.
Speaking to mediapersons on April 5 Swamiji said that the district which is ahead in education has witnessed the attack on the deputy commissioner which has spoiled our minds. “I condemn the incident and ask for a stringent vigil on the acts promoting violence in the district”. The deputy commissioner was attached by 60 or more persons but the real culprits behind the attacks are yet to be traced, which is a surprise. The police department should soon initiate necessary steps, he added.
Pramod Madhwaraj is acting like a regulator in the sand mafia
BJP district president Mattar Ratnakar Hegde said that the district in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj is absconding after the attack on the deputy commissioner. The by-elections are more important than the attack on the deputy commissioner, Pramod Madhwaraj’s absence from 3 days since the attack is condemnable. The sand mafia in the district is controlled by Congress leaders; Pramod Madhwaraj is acting like a regulator in the sand mafia. Pramod Madhwaraj should resign from the post of district in-charge minister as he has failed in protecting the government officials on duty.
Rebutting Mattar Rathnakar Hegde’s claims, former Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake has said that Pramod Madhwaraj couldn’t visit due to the by-elections, he is concerned about the district and at the same time, he is also working for the party in the by-elections. He has been interacting with the deputy commissioner and other officials, he added.
