People should Vote for Pro-Hindu Government- Gopalji
Mangaluru: “The Assembly Elections are nearing. From the past five years, we have seen an anti-Hindu government in the state. The Congress government led by Siddaramaiah has adopted an anti-Hindu policy doing injustice to the Hindus. On May 12, we should all vote for a pro-Hindu government”, said the VHP regional organising secretary Gopal in a press meet held at the VHP office Kadri here on May 3.
Addressing the mediapersons Gopal said, “Today I am here to clarify our stand in the upcoming assembly elections. The state government has withdrawn the Cow slaughter act and encouraged the cow slaughter. The CM himself said that he consumes beef what problems do others have? Tipu Jayanti was also celebrated even though there was strong opposition from various organizations which has encouraged Muslim youth in Karnataka to convert others. Because of the appeasement of minorities, SDPI members have even attacked the police in jail. Cows have been stolen from cowsheds and goshalas and sent to slaughterhouses. Transparent police officers have been transferred.”
Gopal further said, “During the Ganeshotsava the police were taking Rs 10 lakh bond to hold processions. Even the police officers were helpless filed cases against us. More than 3500 of our activists are booked under the Goonda Act. In Karnataka, a number of murders have taken place and SDPI members are involved in all the murders. Karthik, Rudresh, Raju, Deepak Rao, Sharath Madival were killed because they were holding the Hindu flag and wearing kumkum on their forehead. The SDPI members have killed those involved in pro-Hindu activities, the Congress party has made an internal agreement and are supporting the SDPI. The present government is an Anti-Hindu government, we need to vote for a pro-Hindu government. The VHP calls all Hindus to vote for a Pro-Hindu government where the Hindus can live in peace and harmony. While casting votes vote for pro-Hindu candidates to bring a Pro-Hindu government to power.”
When asked which Pro-Hindu party should be voted, Gopal said, “There are Lingayats, Bunts, Brahmins and many others but people should decide and cast their votes.”
When asked which is anti-Hindu government since Congress leaders like Siddaramaiah and Rahul also go to the Temples, Gopal said, “Everyone going to the Temple cannot be a Hindu, going to the Temple has become a drama now. The Siddaramaiah government is making partiality against the Hindus. Pro-Hindu means the government should treat everyone equally.”
When asked about the discrimination by BJP government while in power in 2008, when Churches and prayers houses in Mangaluru were attacked, Gopal said, “In the church attack Muslim terrorists were involved and cases were filed against us, it was proved that Basaveshwara Siddique Sangatane was involved in the church attack.”
