People Tend to Believe More on Social Media than Humans – UT Khader
Udupi: People nowadays tend to believe more on social media than fellow humans said Minister for Food and Civil Supplies UT Khader. He was speaking at a programme organised at the Sri Krishna Math on the eve of Bramakalshotsava here on May 16.
Only Divinity can lead to peace. India has played a vital role in promoting peace around the globe. Ramayana and Mahabharata have promoted peace, brotherhood, equality and humanism. Violence is now destroying our society, we should put extra efforts in promoting peace in the society. Youth should play a larger role in promoting peace, he added.
Dharmadhikari of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Dr Veerendra Heggade said that there was a time when our beliefs and religious practices were questioned, but today science has been researching on our beliefs.
Governor of Nagaland Padmanabha Acharya said that the society today is being destroyed by violence in the name of religion. The northern states have been deprived of education and the people from Udupi and D.K districts should promote education there, he added.
Pejawar Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji said that people should worship god and then praise humans. The Bramakalshotsava will promote divinity and prosperity in the region, he added.
Prayaga Sri Vidyathma Teertha Swamiji, Kirshnapura Math Sri Vidyasagara Teertha Swamiji, Pejawar junior Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha and others were present.
