PFI condemns Arrest of President Hashim in Bengaluru

Mangaluru: Popular Front of India (PFI) staged a protest against the arrest of Bengaluru District PFI President Hashim Sheriff, in connection with the murder of RSS worker Rudresh, in front of the DC office here on November 3.

Addressing the protesters district president of PFI Hanif Katipalla said, “Recently an RSS worker Rudresh was killed and four people were arrested in this case. Reports reveal that enmity between two groups led to the murder of Rudresh. But the police have now arrested the PFI Bengaluru district president, Hashim in connection with the case. PFI condemns the arrest of our leader Hashim as he is innocent and not involved in the Rudresh murder case”.

Hanif further said, “When Rudresh was murdered the RSS and BJP leaders blamed the involvement of PFI. They also gave statements to the media as well as protested, demanding the arrest of PFI leaders in the murder case. Due to the pressure from higher-ups, Bengaluru district PFI president Hashim was arrested by the police on false allegations. PFI is involved in various people friendly programmes and in giving social justice to the deprived. The RSS and the BJP are trying to divert the investigation of Rudresh murder which we strongly condemn”.

Recalling the murder of Manjunath in Shivamogga, Hanif said that Manjunath was killed by his wife and her family but the RSS and BJP alleged that PFI was responsible. After the investigations, the truth was revealed. Even in the Bantwal Harish Poojary murder, the Sangh Parivar alleged PFI’s involvement. The Sangh Parivar held several protests and it was a national news but during the investigation, it was revealed that the Sangh Parivar members Bhuvith Shetty and Mithun were involved in the murder case”.

He also said, ‘Last year during the Tipu Jayanti celebrations, VHP leader Kuttappa died during the protest against Tippu Jayanti but the BJP and Sangh Parivar protested and accused the involvement of Hashim, president of the popular front of India in the murder of Kuttappa. A case was filed against Hashim. But during post-mortem, it is revealed that Kuttappa had slipped and fallen during the police lathi charge and later succumbed to injuries. The RSS and BJP are simply dragging the PFI members in every incident. We will fight against the injustice to our leaders. We have trust in the law and we are sure that Hashim will be proved innocent”.

Later a memorandum was submitted to the Deputy commissioner Dr Jagadeesha.

After Islamic preacher Dr.Zakir Naik’ IRF all set for ban on the media conviction,RSS political wing BJP has set target on PFI. While ruling Congress is silently conspiring with RSS and BJP in fear from the raise of its political wing SDPI.It all set to target using ‘anti-nationlism’ tag. Congress has certainly gave up to BJP hyper nationalism and communalism. Whereas NAMO founder Naresh Shenoy who wanted in RTI activist murder gets bail. Ram Sene Muthalik who found in ‘riots for cash’ and ‘Hubli court yard’ blast is free to preach communal sermons. It is Congress soft stand on ‘saffron… Read more »
