Pluralism without basic unity is suicidal – RSS Leader Suresh Soni
Udupi: “Pluralism without basic unity is suicidal,” said RSS Leader Suresh Soni speaking at the Akhila Bharatiya Samskrit Sammelan held at Rajangana, Sri Krishna Math, here on January 7.
The aim should be towards building an organized India which can guide the globe. India is filled with resources; unity together with pluralism can guide us effectively. There is confusion on nationalism; continental nationalism seems to be prevailing. We should inherit good values. Our literary and traditional books give insights on social living.
He further said that in olden times, people feared taking bribes but today corruption seems to be prevailing over our lives. The ideologies of people are still the same but the way of living has changed. “We have restricted our religion to the temples.”
Our country has turned defensive in every approach. Western culture is prevailing over our holistic entity. India is a Sanathan country. It has witnessed ups and downs. It may be in the form of invasions or differences but still the world adores India’s rich heritage.
“Globalization seems to be prevailing but we have a major role to play, we should protect and respect our environment. We need to spiritualize our religion and nationalize our country to protect its valor and heritage. India is the blend of culture and heritage, and values and thoughts should strengthen our nation,” he added.
Pejawar Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji, Sri Nirmalananda Swamiji of Adichunchanigiri Mahasansthanam, Darmapalanaha Swamiji of Mangaluru Shaka Math, MP Shoba Karandlaje and others were present .
