PM flags off new electric rail link between Bengaluru-Mysuru, also Mysuru-Udaipur

Mysuru/Shravanabelagola: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the new rail link between Mysuru and Udaipur and the new electric train link between Mysuru and Bengaluru, here in Mysuru on Monday.

 

The PM who arrived from Sharavanabelagola, after taking part in the Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka celebrations, flagged off ‘Palace Queen Hamsafar’ the new rail link between Mysuru and Udaipur in Rajasthan.

He also flagged off the new electric train between Mysuru and Bengaluru from platform one.

Earlier at Sharavanabelagola, the PM spoke and said saints had always served society and catalysed change.

Modi who took part in the Mahamasthakabhisheka celebrations on Monday said that it was his good fortune that he could take part in the Mahamastakabhisheka which happens only once in 12 years.

It is the first time in the last 25 years, that a prime minister has attended Mahamastakabhisheka.

Modi dedicated the newly constructed 630 steps of Vindhyagiri and Bahubali public hospital to the nation.
