The aim of our Prime Minister Modi is to eliminate corruption and make this country cashless. It is the duty of every citizen to co-operate with the government to make “digidhan” successful. Without the support of the people, it is not possible to make this country digital.”

MP Nalin Kumar also spoke on the occasion. Lucky winners of the cashless payment system were awarded cash prizes. Five entrepreneurs from 5 villages who have helped the rural people in cashless payment were felicitated.

Minister Ravishankar Prasad speaking on the occasion said, “It is so promising to see the enthusiasm of the people to embark on a digital path. Digidhan Mela is a very important initiative undertaken by the government of India to provide training on the digital payment system to the citizens as well as merchants. From the day we have started till today we have trained 1,98,36,751 people on the digital payment methods and 6,32,915 merchants have been enabled digitally. Certainly, more and more people will adopt to digital payments and embrace the hassle-free, safe and secure payment mode”.

Mangaluru Digidhan Mela is the 30th Mela and today is the 30th Lucky draw, we are giving Rs 1,000 award every day to 15,000 customers who are making payments through UPI, RuPay, and Aadhar card payment. Till date, we have given Rs 60 crore plus to 5 lakh customers and about 99,000 shop keepers. When we are having this function in Mangaluru this lucky draw is being done for the people of the entire Country because India is one, from Mangaluru to Muzaffarnagar and from Karnataka to Kashmir we are one. India is having a population of 125 crores with 8 crores mobile phones in the last two years. We have got 10 crore Aadhar cards in India which will increase in the coming year. We are becoming a digitally empowered society and facebook has the biggest segment in India after America. India is emerging as a biggest digital economy because PM Modi is a transformative leader and he wants to transform India and to make India a technologically empowered country. To make India the country of hope and honest country.”

After the demonetization the backbone of terrorism is broken, even the backbone of Naxalism is also broken. The hawala trade, supari killing etc is down. A big achievement of demonetization is the human trafficking for sex slavery which has also reduced. The middlemen and agents used to bring girls from Bangladesh and push them into the sex trade in India.”
