PM Narendra Modi to hold fresh consultation with chief ministers on June 16, 17
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold another round of discussion with chief ministers of states and union territories via video-conference on June 16 and June 17. The announcement comes as confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in India near the 3,00,000 mark.
As per a notification, the chief ministers have been grouped into two categories. While the first group will interact with PM Modi on June 16, the Prime Minister will entertain the second group on June 17. On both of these days, the video-conference will begin at 3 PM.
States/UTs whose Chief Ministers/Lt Governors will interact with PM Modi on June 16 include Punjab, Assam, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Goa, Manipur, Nagaland, Ladakh, Puducherry, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadar Nagar Haveli & Daman Diu, Sikkim and Lakshwadeep.
At the same time, PM Modi will interact with CMs/LGs of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana and Odisha on June 17.
These interactions will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sixth round of consultations with chief ministers and Lt Governors of various states and UTs. The most recent virtual meet was held on May 11.
In the last week of May, Home Minister Amit Shah had also interacted with chief ministers over the phone to discuss the end of Lockdown-4 and the beginning of Unlock-1.
