Police apprehend 8 for Illegal Gambling at Kumar International Bendurwell
Mangaluru: The East police raided Kumar International Hotel and arrested 8 persons for indulging in illegal gambling at Bendurwell here on September 5.
The arrested have been identified as Praveen (41) from Bajal, Naveen (35) from Thokkottu, Naveen Alva (39) from Talapady, Basheer (52) from Ullal, Sathish (33) from Saripalla, Vijay Kumar (38) from Bantwal, Bhaskar (45) from Sundari Bagh Ullal and Akash (31) from Maroli.
On getting reliable information about illegal activities, on September 5, the Mangaluru East Police raided Kumar International and arrested 8 persons redhanded. The police seized playing cards and cash Rs 49,340/-, 10 mobile phones, one Bolero Car and 3 two-wheelers from their possession.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner Dr Harsha and under the guidance of DCP Law and order Arunagshu Giri, DCP Crime and traffic Lakshmi Ganesh and ACP Bhaskar Okkaliga the operation was carried out by the Mangaluru East Police Inspector Shantharam, PSI Maruti and team.
