Police Arrest 5 Drug Peddlers Operating from Lodge in Byndoor
Kundapur: The Byndoor police arrested five drug peddlers from a lodge and seized ganja and other items worth Rs 1.71 lakhs from their possession on September 2.
The arrested have been identified as Yogesh Ganiga (24), a resident of Matapadi, Brahmaar, Yadunarayana, a native of Kerala, Gururaj Poojary (25), Sunil Poojary (26) and Ravi (25) residents of Byndoor.
According to the police, after getting reliable information about the accused that they had brought Ganja from Bhatkal and rented a room in the lodge in Byndoor to sell it. The Byndoor police raided the lodge and arrested all the five accused.
The police have recovered 40 grams ganja, six mobile phones, 3 two-wheelers and other items all worth Rs 1.71 lakhs.
The operation was carried out by the CPI of Byndoor Suresh G Nayak; PSI Gangolli Bhimashankar and team.
