Speaking to mangalorean.com Dr Harsha said, “On August 16, we the Mangaluru police launched an initiative “My Beat My Pride” to strengthen beat policing. Our main aim is to strengthen our beat Constables who are leading the beat in their particular areas. I am here today as a part of the same initiative. All the senior officers will do the beat duty once a month along with the beat heads of the area”.
Dr Harsha further said, “Today I am with the beat head of beat no 8 constable Eshwar Prasad. We are meeting civilian beat members of the beat group and the people of the area to check if they are facing any problems or issues. When I met some of the beat members they expressed satisfaction with the service provided by the police. We have appealed to them to inform the police if they have any problems and also keep in touch with the beat police Eshwar Prasad.”
