Police Constable from Kaup P S and Two Udupi CMC Councilors Test Positive for Coronavirus
Udupi: One more police constable of Kaup Police Station and two women councillors of Udupi City Municipality have tested positive for the coronavirus in Udupi district.
According to the health officials, the police constable of Kaup police station who was in quarantine is tested positive for the coronavirus. Two days back, an ASI of the Kaup Police Station was also tested positive, and the police station was closed down for 48 hours. The Constable is now shifted to the designated COVID-19 hospital from the Quarantine centre.
Two woman councillors of Udupi City Municipal Council have also tested positive for the coronavirus, and both of them are shifted to the designated COVID hospital. The Udupi CMC building will be sanitised and closed for three days.
A total of 370 infected persons are now undergoing treatment in various hospitals. So far, 1360 infected persons have recovered and discharged from the hospital.
