Police Hold Route March Assuring Security During Tipu Jayanti and Parivarthana Yatra
Mangaluru: As a precautionary measure and to ensure safety and security to the people of the city a “Police Route March”, was held from Nehru Maidan on November 9.
On November 10, the government is celebrating the Tipu Jayanti and the BJP is holding the Parivarthana Yatra. In this regard, to avoid any untoward incidents from taking place in the city, all measures have been taken by the police commissionerate.
The route march which started from Nehru Maidan passed through the Nellikai Road – Car Street – Azzizuddin Road – Bejai – KPT- Pumpwell – Adyar – Valacchil – Kankanady – Valencia and culminated at the Compol.
The Police route march was carried out to ensure security in the city and to see that the “Tipu Jayanti” celebrations and the Parivarthana Rally will be held peacefully. The police commissionerate under the able leadership of Police commissioner T R Suresh has taken all the necessary measures in this regard.
