Police Hold Route March assuring Security to Citizens at all Times
Mangaluru: As precautionary measures and to ensure safety and security to the people of the city a “Police Route March”, was held here on May 1.
On May 2, under the leadership of former Mayor Ashraf, “Mangaluru Chalo”, will be held to demand justice for Quraishi. In this regard, to avoid any untoward incidents from taking place in the city, all measures have been taken by the police commissionerate.
The following police personnel participated in the Police route march held in the city on May 1.
– Deputy Commissioners of Police 2
– Assistant Commissioner of Police 10
– Police Inspectors 10
– Police Sub-inspectors 60
– Assistant Sub Inspectors 85
– Head constables and police constables 1000
– 14 KSRP Platoons with 350 men and 3 Rapid Intervention Vehicles.
The route march which started from the Jyothi Circle passed through the Karavali Circle – Kankanady – Jeppu- Morgansgate – Emmekere – Pandeshwar and culminated at the Compol.
The Police route march was carried out to ensure security in the city and to see that the “Mangaluru Chalo” protest is held peacefully. The police commissionerate under the able leadership of Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar has taken all the necessary measures in this regard.
