Police Inspector Shantharam Relieved From Station Duty
Mangaluru: The East police station Inspector Shantharam Kundar has been relieved from station duty on December 24.
In connection to the police firing on December 19, there was a video that went viral on the social media in which PI Shantharam was heard saying “We have fired 10 rounds, no one died in the firing”. There was a lot of criticism on social media demanding the suspension of the police officer in regard to the video clippings.
On December 24, Shantharam Kundar was relieved from station duty and is remain at the police commissioner’s office until further orders.
Shantharam has given clarifications to the Police Commissioner about the video clippings.
