Police Receive Post-mortem Report of Shiroor Swamiji

Udupi: The police have received the post-mortem report of late Shiroor Swamiji on July 30 and now are expecting the FSL report to learn the exact reason for Shiroor Swamiji’s’ suspicious death.

The doctors who have performed the post-mortem of Shiroor Swamiji have submitted 8 pages of the report to the Udupi SP Laxman Nimbargi. The report mentions the bleeding in the Liver, Kidneys and other organs in detail.

The cause of the death has not been mentioned in the report since the FSL report is awaited. After receiving the FSL report both the reports will be studied and the exact cause of death will be revealed, said sources.

Sources also revealed that the investigating teams have continued their investigation as the FSL report will take at least one month. The woman who was closely associated with Shiroor Swamiji will be questioned again.

On July 17, morning at around 11:00 am Shiroor Swamiji was admitted to the Gandhi hospital in Udupi. On July 18 morning at around 1:05 am he was shifted to the KMC Hospital. On July 19, around 8:30 am, doctors pronounced the death of Shiroor Swamiji.

According to the hospital report, Shiroor Swamiji had died due to poisoning. In this connection, Swamiji’s brother Lathavya Acharya had filed a case in the Hiriyadka Police station. The investigation process is still on under the investigation officer, Karkala DySP Belliyappa.
