Police rescue 7 cattle on way to slaughterhouse in Kundapur
Kundapur: The Kundapur Rural Police along with the forest officials rescued 7 cattle which were illegally transported to Kerala from Basrur.
According to the police on Tuesday, November 22 morning, cattle were being taken in a Pickup towards Udupi from Kandlur. Acting on a tipoff the Kundapur Rural Police along with the forest officials noticed the vehicle and signalled it to stop. The Pick-up vehicle was covered with tarpaulin sheets on all the sides and was looking suspicious. When police checked the vehicle, they found cattle in it. The Pick-up driver managed to flee from the spot.
Police seized the vehicle and rescued 7 cattle during the operation.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur Rural Police station.
