Police send Proposal to Extern 10 Matka Bidders from District – SP Laxman Nimbaragi
Udupi District superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbaragi said that the district police have sent a proposal to the deputy commissioner to extern 10 more Matka Bidders from Udupi district.
He was speaking to media persons during his weekly Phone-in programme at the District Police Office on Friday, November 23.
In March-April 2018 the deputy commissioner had ordered to Extern 10 Matka bidders from the district. Once again 10 names of Matka Bidders to be externed from the district have been submitted to the DC, the deputy commissioner will pass an order after the inquiry. The Police department is also preparing a list of 10 more persons to be externed, he said.
During the Phone-in programme, the majority of the complaints were against Matka and illegal liquor sale. The police Head received six calls only on Matka activities.
There were complaints of illegal sand mining under various police station limits; Illegal Liquor sale, Illegal stone quarry, Gambling, trouble from stray dogs, the problem of middlemen in RTO office and other issues were raised during the phone-in programme.
