Police Stop Hindu Samajotsava Awareness Bike Rally Without Permission

Udupi: The district police on Saturday, November 25 stopped the motorcycle rally which organised without prior permission to mark the Hindu Samajotsava.

As part of the Dharma Sansad, Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised the Hindu Samajotsava on November 26. Around 15-20 youth activists without prior permission, held an awareness bike rally to mark the Hindu Samajotsava. The youth who were on the way to Udupi from Manipal were stopped by the police at the entrance of the Royal Garden near the Dharma Sansad premises. Dr Sanjeev M Patil SP of Udupi who is personally monitoring the Dharma Sansad programme arrived at the spot and ordered the police to seize all the motorbikes. A 13-year-old boy was also found riding the motorbike without wearing the helmet.

Later the police summoned Vilas Nayak district VHP president and warned him of taking action if such incidents are repeated during the Hindu Samajotsava.
