Police Trying to Divert Quraishi case through Media – Nishad

Mangaluru: “Ahmed Quraishi is suffering from Kidney failure and those who are responsible for the same should be suspended and a criminal case should be filed against them. The Police are now trying to divert the case which is condemnable”, said Mohammed Nishad, brother of Ahmed Quraishi in a press meet held at Hotel Woodlands here on April 8.

Addressing the mediapersons Nishad said, “No one should undergo the torture like my brother.  I will fight till my brother gets justice. The government should provide compensation to Quraishi, because of the assault by the police he is unable to work and all the medical expenses should be borne by the government”.

Nishad further said, “On March 21 morning, when Quraishi went to the court to attend a case, the case was postponed afternoon.  When Quraishi was having lunch in the court canteen, the CCB police lifted him from there. When Quraishi did not attend the court in the afternoon we have received notice from the court and we have given in writing to the court that Quraishi was arrested by the CCB police.”
