‘Politics must be imbibed with social concern’; Home Minister Rajnath Singh
Udupi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that he is indeed privileged to visit Udupi as he has wonderful memories in the temple town and in the state as well.
Speaking at an interaction programme with intellectuals on Monday, the union minister said that the country has undergone several changes in the last four years. “The NDA government is immensely supportive of the idea of industrialisation and commerce as the country has reached the 100th position in the world in terms of business and trade activities. India was in the 113th position last year and the present improvement shows the importance given by the BJP-led NDA government to promote business. The structural and procedural business model adopted by the government shows the precedence offered by the government to support entrepreneurs and industrialists. It is certain that the country is moving towards becoming a super economic power, a fact that cannot be ruled out. Even a renowned economist will agree to the fact that India is emerging as a super economic power.”
He asserted that politics should be socio-political work. “The development agenda adopted by the NDA government is purely unbiased. All areas should be developed in the country, without a hierarchical status. The country’s dignity is essential and no one should let the image of the nation down. The NDA government has a comprehensive and integrated vision. The slogan, ‘Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas’ is the agenda followed by the government,” the Union Minister said.
