Polling over, betting fever rises in Karnataka
Mysuru, May 13(UNI) Even as the Karnataka Legislative assembly elections in Karnataka are just over, many people are now busy in making wild calculations about the winning horses and betting on them to make a quick buck.
It is heard everywhere that betting fever is felt at tea corners, in shops, hotels, and time honoured gossip joints (arali katte).
People have started visiting illegal bookies as betting is banned in public under the Law.
These kind incidents are quite notable in semi-urban and rural areas.
Even though surveys are predicting hung assembly the people are betting more on Congress and BJP for coming to power on their own, sources said.
